Babbage Best Paper in Industrial Innovation Policy Award
The Industry Studies Association administers this annual award with backing from the Babbage International Policy Forum (UK). It recognizes exceptional papers addressing industrial innovation policy and policymaking.
Award Details
- First Prize: $750 honorarium
- Runner-up Prize: $250 honorarium
- Winning papers demonstrate engagement with theoretical and practical policy elements
- Papers should examine connections between policy interventions and industrial dynamics
Eligibility & Scope
All research stream submissions qualify. The award welcomes:
- Cross-disciplinary approaches spanning economics, technology, and management
- Work offering both theoretical advancement and practical insights for policymakers
- Self-nominations are accepted
Submission Requirements
Candidates must complete three steps:
- Submit proposal via Microsoft’s Academic Conference Management Toolkit (CMT)
- Mark for award consideration by selecting “Babbage International Policy Forum Industrial Innovation Policy Award” in the CMT form after uploading an extended abstract
- Register and commit to attend the conference by early March
Omitting any step results in disqualification.
