The Industry Studies Association offers an annual award recognizing outstanding papers in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Award Details
- First Prize: $500 honorarium
- Runner-up Prize: $250 honorarium
Eligibility
- Papers from any research stream are eligible
- Self-nominations are welcome
- Winners are expected to demonstrate substantial research investment, often combining field-based observation with theoretical analysis
Submission Requirements
Candidates must complete three steps:
- Submit proposal through Microsoft’s Academic Conference Management Toolkit (CMT)
- Select the award category by choosing “Best Paper in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award” in the CMT form after uploading an extended abstract
- Register and commit to attend the conference by early March

Submission Deadline: January 16, 2026
Additional Consideration
Non-winning papers will still be considered for inclusion in the regular Industry Studies Association Annual Conference program.

Failure to fulfill any of these steps will lead to disqualification.
